"The Coldest Beer You've Ever Had
With The KoolerCap"

Every year I have a group camping trip that lasts four days, so keeping the food and beer cold is a top priority.  If you’re a gadget freak like me, you don’t have a lot of spare money for high end coolers after you buy everything else you wanted. I have a well-built average cooler that does a good job, but not a great  job.

 

When we found out about the KoolerCap I was skeptical (I’m probably the most skeptical one in the 50 Campfires office), because it just looked like a thick old workout mat to me.

Then I started thinking about what makes your ice melt. The main problem isn’t usually that your cooler walls aren’t thick enough. It’s that your cooler doesn’t have an airtight seal. Air movement in a cooler is the number one enemy. The KoolerCap started making sense to me! It can be pushed down to the level of your ice and it keeps all of that crazy coldness in an (almost) airtight space.

 

I can honestly say that I’ve never had beer that cold at a campsite. It really does work incredibly well. They claim to extend the life of your ice by 30% or more, and I absolutely found that to be true.

 

The standard size is only $20 and in my opinion it’s worth it.

I was given the opportunity to do some product testing this weekend and it, (The KoolerCap), passed with flying colors!

FRIDAY MORNING:
 
Bags of Ice at the Coachella campground were $10 a bag. Between 10 people we had three different coolers, one of which I was responsible for.  Friday morning I tossed a bunch of beer into the cooler, covered it with a bag of ice, sealed the KoolerCap on top of it and waited for the "mountains" on the cans to turn blue.

When we needed a beer, we lifted a corner of the KoolerCap, pulled out a can and then pushed the KoolerCap corner back into place and closed the cooler lid.

SUNDAY EVENING:
​
After three days of 90+ degree heat my friends had spent $80 on ice for their two coolers.  I had spent my initial $10 and added a couple of handfuls of ice on Saturday.  By Sunday evening, the ice had melted BUT the beers were still cold - the KoolerCap did it's job!
 
Instead of spending $40 for ice, I only spent $10!  The KoolerCap, at only $20, had already paid for itself and then some! 
 
I could not be more happy with The KoolerCap's performance and with the excitement expressed by all those who saw it in action. Two large thumbs up!
